OBJECTIVES
- The People Manager plays a critical leadership role in the scope of design and execution of core people systems including performance, career development, learning, organization design, and change management.. This role is responsible for leading the HRBP and people operations functions to ensure people strategies are effectively translated into scalable systems, policies, and day-to-day practices that support business growth.
- As a key partner to the Head of People, the People Manager acts as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact across all people initiatives while developing a high-performing People & Culture team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- 1. Lead & Develop People Team (HRBP & People Operations)
- Lead, coach, and develop HRBP and People Operations team members to operate as strong business partners and subject matter experts
- Set clear goals, priorities, and performance standards for the team, ensuring alignment with company and People strategy
- Build team capability in strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and problem-solving
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement within the People team
- 2. Drive HR Business Partnering Excellence
- Oversee HRBP support for business divisions and functions, ensuring consistent and high-quality people partnership
- Guide HRBPs in advising leaders on org design, workforce planning, performance management, talent development, engagement, and change management
- Act as escalation point for complex people cases (performance, conflict, restructuring, employee relations)
- Ensure people solutions are pragmatic, compliant, and aligned with Amanotes’ culture and values
- 3. Own Learning, Development & Organizational Effectiveness
- Own the design and execution of core learning and development frameworks, in partnership with L&D stakeholders
- Translate business strategy and capability gaps into:
- + Learning priorities
- + Career pathways and development journeys
- Lead or contribute to organization design initiatives, including role clarity, job architecture, and team effectiveness
- Enable change management for major people and organizational initiatives
- 4. Own Compensation & Benefits Strategy and People Operations Excellence
- Lead C&B function to design, review, and manage competitive and scalable compensation and benefits frameworks
- Oversee salary review cycles, incentive programs, promotions, job leveling, and benchmarking
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal governance
- Partner with Finance and Head of People on budgeting, cost control, and workforce planning
- 5. Execute and Improve Core People Systems & Processes
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of key People systems such as:
- + Performance Management (PMP)
- + Career frameworks & job architecture
- + Talent review & succession planning
- + Rewards & recognition
- Ensure people policies and processes are well-designed, communicated, and consistently applied
- Translate People strategy into clear roadmaps, milestones, and measurable outcomes
- 6. Stakeholder Management & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with business leaders to understand their challenges and proactively propose people solutions
- Work with Head of People to prepare insights, data, and recommendations for leadership decision-making
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, L&D, Finance, and Legal to ensure integrated People practices
- 7. Culture & Change Enablement
- Support the Head of People and collaborate with People Experience and Comms Lead in driving culture, values, and change initiatives across the organization
- Act as a role model of Amanotes’ leadership behaviors and people philosophy
- Ensure People team contributes actively to building an engaging, inclusive, and high-performance culture
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 2–3 years in a People Manager / HR Manager / Senior HRBP role for mid-sized company (> 300 employees)
- Strong hands-on experience in both HR Business Partnering, Organization Development and/or People Operations and Compensation & Benefits
- Strong credentials as an organizational leader, with deep business acumen, proven ability to understand strategic organizational issues, and lead and influence change
- A capable and confident communicator and people manager, with very strong personal presence
- Energetic, positive minded individual who is meticulous and organized
