What you will do
- You will be responsible for the audio output of a game:
- You will be responsible for the level design output of a game:
+ Decide the music direction for the game (music genres, themes, vibe, etc).
+ Choose the right songs for the game (the songs can either be a collection of audio from Amanotes’ resources or produced from scratch).
+ Curate the song list.
+ Incorporate with the game designer to decide the types of SFX used in the game.
+ Design and implement high-quality SFX for the UI/UX game journey.
+ Ensuring all in-game audio meets Amanote’s game standards/ requirements.
+ Provide audio technical solutions and technical documents as needed.
+ Incorporate with the game designer and developer to choose an interactive method based on music expertise.
+ Define and propose game content guidelines (level progression/ user journey).
+ Create the level design for the game’s songlist.
+ Ensure the quality of level designs aligns with content guidelines and meets the release of requirements.
+ Provide technical solutions and technical documents regarding gameplay as needed.
+ Conduct training sessions for collaborators and ensure the quality output of collabs.
Qualifications
- Music curation skills:

- Experience with game-level design:
- Ability to create a clear structure and purpose of technical documents.
+ Music composition knowledge (music theory, music elements, song structures).
+ Comprehension of basic music rights in licensing.
+ Ability to curate song lists with clear intention and hypothesis.
+ Ability to research music trending.
+ Ability to analyze songs by genre, and mood to find similar songs.
+ Ability to compose or remix a complete song, starting from scratch.
+ Ability to deeply operate a DAW.
+ Ability to mix and master an audio track or song that will meet the required specifications.
+ Have fundamental knowledge regarding MIDI signal output.
+ Basic understanding of game design principles.
+ Ability to conduct hypothesis testing with clear success indicators.
+ Ability to monitor relevant product metrics to ensure content quality.
+ Ability to conduct playtesting and gather feedback.
Will be a plus
- Portfolio showcasing mobile rhythm games.
- Experience working on a successful mobile rhythm game
- Familiar with Wwise/Fmod integration.
- Ability to play a musical instrument.
